Autograph Advice Forum

We in this section will give comprehensive advice to the less experienced autograph buyer, to assist you wherever you buy autographs to make a more “educated” decision and reduce the possibility of your buying a non genuine item.

We have to stop short of actually naming the bogus dealers to avoid litigation. Indeed the number of bogus dealers is now such an epidemic it would be impossible to keep track of them all. Also unfortunately virtually every website that has ever attempted to actually name them has been so underground it cannot be found or closed down by threats of litigation. We can buy “semtex” on the internet but not list the criminal autograph dealers!

The worst offenders are the Internet auction companies who when challenged have no interest in policing or regulating their internet auctions. Indeed they are positively confrontational about it. It is no surprise as it is estimated the autograph business is worth approx £100 million per annum to them!

What we prefer to do is to furnish you with the knowledge of what to look for, so you can make your own minds up. We can’t be right all the time, but I hope the following proves useful to you.
