Paper Lace

PAPER LACE. English pop group first formed in Nottingham as Music Box in 1967. They became Paper Lace in 1969. After winning ITV talent show Opportunity Knocks, they scored a big UK hit single "Billy Don't Be A Hero" which spent three weeks at No1 in March 1974. They later had a US No1 with their follow up "The Night Chicago Died".
