Pink Floyd autographs. Internationally acclaimed English rock band who have evolved since the mid 1960s into one of rock musics most succesful and iconic acts ; selling over 300 million albums. Noted for their innovation in all areas of pop music and their extraordinary live shows. The lineup of the group Roger Waters / Richard Wright d2008 / Nick Mason and David Gilmour has remained unchanged since January 1968 when Gilmour replaced founding member Syd Barrett. Sadly serious rifts between the group members since 1985 has robbed the public of new material ; however hopes remain high of one day a possible reconciliation after they reformed for a one off gig at Live8 in July 2005. The influence of founding member Syd Barrett can never be underestimated ; his innovation and songwriting genius brought the group to prominence in the 1960s. However his fragile character was unable to deal with the pressures of fame and he sought refuge in his prolific use of drugs. His well documented erratic behaviour and subsequent mental breakdown led to him leaving the group in 1968 and in choosing to live the remainder of his life in seclusion until his death in 2006. Very sadly fellow founding member Richard Wright also recently passed away in September 2008 aged 65 after a short battle with cancer.

An off white paper page 17x9cm in size (a theatre map on the reverse) signed by the 4 original group members in pencil with customary first names only. CERTIFICATION ; Obtained at their concert at The Wellington Club East Dereham Norfolk on 29th July 1967.The Pink Floyd were scheduled to play two gigs that night, first at the Wellington Club, in the wilds of East Dereham, Norfolk, before racing back to London for a high-profile show at the Alexandra Palace. They raced up the motorway in the band�s Bentley, a shaken Barrett sitting huddled and pale in the corner of the car. When the band got to the football-fan friendly �Welly�, the restive crowd was spoiling for a fight. The cinema balcony was split from the stalls to make way for the "Sunshine Rooms" dance hall. Ill omens abounding, their support band was called the Void. Moments after they began playing under the light show, which looked meagre and out of place, the sullen crowd started chanting abuse. �F**k off! You�re not playing no more!� The furious provincial punters had had enough. The first empty pint glass sailed through the air into Nick Mason�s drum kit. Waters recalled, �we had broken beer mugs smashing into the drum kit.I�ll never forget that night.We did a double header that night.We played to a roomful of about 500 gypsies, hurling abuse and fighting, and then we did the Ally Pally.After cranking out a ragged, shortened version of �Interstellar Overdrive� to the violent drunken louts, the lads gathered their guitars, the road managers shook the broken glass and beer off Mason�s drum kit and threw the gear back willy nilly into the van.
