Alex Harvey Band

THE SENSATIONAL ALEX HARVEY BAND. Charismatic Scottish rock n roll singer whose career began during the 1960s with The Alex Harvey Soul Band. However during the 1970s his group The Sensational Alex Harvey Band (SAHB) built a strong reputation for their madcap and energetic live stage performances. The group did not enjoy the deserved mainstream commercial success it maybe should have, but scored two Top 10 hits with their classic rework of  "Delilah" (1975) and The Boston Tea Party (1976). Alex Harvey died of a heart attack at the age of just 46 in February 1982 on a Sea-Ferry travelling to Belgium ......
