Alexander Knox

ALEXANDER KNOX d1995. Canadian actor. He is best known for playing US President Woodrow Wilson in the 1944 biopic "Wilson" produced by Darryl F Zanuck for which he won a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor. However, during the McCarthy era, he was blacklisted by the Hollywood film studio bosses and he returned to Britain. He died of bone cancer aged 88 in 1995.
