Angie Bowie

ANGIE BOWIE. American cover girl, model and actress. She met David Bowie in London in 1969 aged 19. She married him one year later on March 19th 1970 in Beckenham Lane London. They separated after nine years of marriage and divorced on 8th February 1980 in Switzerland. David Bowie reputedly wrote the songs ; The Prettiest Star / Golden Years and Cracked Actor about her (during a backstage sequence in the DA Pennebaker concert film Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars). He called her by the name "Star" and she often accompanied him on his international concert tours during the period.
