BLIZZARD OF OZZ. Was the debut studio album by Ozzy Osbourne released on September 12th 1980 in the UK. It was Osbourne's first release following his firing from Black Sabbath in 1979. Blizzard of Ozz was the first of two studio albums he recorded with legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads. Randy Rhoads was killed in a plane crash in Florida aged just 25 on May 19th 1982. In 2017, it was ranked 9th on Rolling Stone's list of "100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time
