Collectors date notation November 1st 1985. One of an absolutely outstanding mostly in-person autograph collection of over 500 items obtained by JD in Brighton & London during the late 1970's to 1990s. The majority being pop music acts of the period, along with actors and entertainers. The autographs are on records / fanzine magazine photographs and autograph book pages. Many are dedicated along with messages to the collector (Jonathan) and include dates & venues where they were obtained. There is a copy of a letter from him included (if required) that details his almost obsessive collecting exploits and memories of the time. NB ; An important journey for Bob Hoskins. As per collectors notation he was on his way to Hollywood for the 59th Academy Awards where he was nominated for Best Actor for "Mona Lisa". From the autograph collection of BOAC / BA flight attendant Michael K who obtained a large portfolio of celebrity signed BA flight menus during the 1980-90s. Most menus are eight pages and make interesting reading, showing what was available in-flight for Breakfast / Dinner and Bar Service. Many are dedicated to him with additional messages of thanks for his fine service. Bob Hoskins

BOB HOSKINS d2014. English actor. His best known work included lead roles in ; Pennies From Heaven (1978) / The Long Good Friday (1980) / Mona Lisa (1986) / Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) / Mermaids (1990) and Super Mario Bros (1993). He received huge acclaim and received an Academy Award nomination for his role as "George" in Mona Lisa, winning a BAFTA and Golden Globe for best actor. In 2009, he won an Emmy for his appearance on the BBC One drama The Street. In 2012, he was forced to retire from acting due to his battle with Parkinson's disease. He died from pneumonia aged 71 on 29th April 2014.
