BRIAN WILSON (Beach Boys). American group first formed in 1961 remembered for their close harmony style and string of classic hits reflecting Californian youth culture of cars / girls and surfing during the 1960s. The biggest selling American group of all time with 56 Hot 100 hits including 4 No1s. The brilliant Pet Sounds LP of 1966 is often voted the best album of all time reflecting the influence and songwriting genius of Brian Wilson ; his fragile persona and well publicised drink and drug addictions have meant he has battled with many demons throughout his life.
