FROM HERE TO ETERNITY. 1953 film classic directed by Fred Zimmerman which tells the story of the troubles of some US soldiers stationed on Hawaii leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbour during WW2. Winner of eight Academy Awards and grossing $30 million dollars, it is probably still best remembered for the now iconic ground-breaking beach lovemaking scene between co stars Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr (one of the classic romantic film moments of all time).
