Claude Dampier

CLAUDE DAMPIER d1955. English film actor and comedian of the 1920-30s often billed as "The Professional Idiot". He met his future wife Australian actress Billie Carlyle whilst making the film "Adventures of Algy" in 1925 who later became part of his theatre act. He died in London of pneumonia aged 76 in 1955. Billie Carlyle died in 1991.
