DEAD END KIDS. Scottish pop group originally known as Vehicle formed in 1976 as a Creedence Clearwater Revival covers band. They came to the attention of a CBS record executive whilst supporting the Bay City Rollers on tour. Producer Barry Blue recorded their first single (a cover of the Honeycombs classic "Have I The Right") which reached No6 in the UK charts in Spring 1977. However after a brief period in the limelight and an appearance on Top of The Pops, they and the glam-rock scene had to give-way to Punk Rock ...
