Certification:

One of a wonderful collection of over 50 celebrity letters all obtained during the late 1940s to early 1950s by a Mr Douglas Squires. He was involved in editing a School / University Film & Theatre Entertainment magazine during this period and wrote to celebrities looking for a contribution of autographs and signed photographs for the magazine. Many of the letters are gracious and detailed replies with many references to helping his project and mentions of their careers at that point in time. An original two-sided typed letter (dated July 5th 1949) on headed paper, clearly signed at the conclusion in ink by Dennis Price.

Certification:

The letter mentions his films "Byron" (1949) / "Good Time Girl" (1948) / "The Lost People" (1949) and importantly "Kind Hearts and Coronets". He writes "I do hope you'll like Kind Hearts. To me its a wonderful script and a fine piece of real direction - Robert Hamer, who did both, is the real stuff ..".
