Dexys Midnight Runners
Dexys Midnight Runners
DEXYS MIDNIGHT RUNNERS. English pop band with soul influences who achieved their major success in the early to mid-1980s. They are best known for their two UK No1 singles "Geno" (1980) and "Come on Eileen" (1982). Their debut LP Searching For The Young Soul Rebels (1980) reached No6 in the UK charts and the 1982 follow up Too-Rye-Ay UK No2 and USA No14. To the present day group line-ups have changed constantly over the years and there have been many mostly commercially unsuccessful attempts to reform.
