Donald Houston

DONALD HOUSTON d1991. Welsh actor whose first two films proved highly succesful ; "The Blue Lagoon" (1949) with Jean Simmons and "A Run For Your Money" (1949) alongside Alec Guinness. His later career included comedy roles in the classic "Doctor In The House" and "Carry On" films of the 1950s and 60s. Often typecast in the British war films of the period including ; 633 Squadron / The Longest Day and Where Eagles Dare. He died aged 67 in Portugal in 1991.

An original vintage 1950s Sunday Pictorial Souvenir page, clearly signed in ink by Donald Houston (adding Best Wishes).

Double mounted for fine display with photograph.

Certification:

One of a large autograph colllection all obtained in person by a Mr Skinner who attended many of The Sunday Pictorial Garden Party Events held annually during the 1940-50s at Morden Hall Park in London. These were hugely popular public events with many attractions including meet and greets with many entertainment celebrities of the period. There is a typed letter included giving more details by a member of his family and showing internet links to Pathe Newsreels covering the events. AFTAL Dealer No13 and UACC RD Memorabilia UK COA.
