American group formed in 1967 who enjoyed considerable commercial success throughout the 1970s with a string of UK hit singles including ; Sylvias Mother (No2 1972) / A Little Bit More (No2 1976) / If Not You (No5 1976) / When Your In Love with a Beautiful Woman (No1 1979) and Sexy Eyes (No4 1980). Vocalist Ray Sawyer famous for wearing an eye-patch died aged 81 on December 31st 2018
