Dwight F Davis

DWIGHT FILLEY DAVIS SR d1945. American tennis player and politician. He is best remembered as the founder of the Davis Cup international tennis competition. He was also the US Secretary for War between 1925-29 and Governor General of the Philippines 1929-32. He died in Washington DC aged 66 on November 28th 1945.
