American rock band founded in Seattle in 1994 by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. Over the course of their career, they have won 12 Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Album four times. The band has also won an AMA / four Brits and two MTV Video awards. As of 2015, they have sold over 12 million albums in the US
