Certification:

The letter importantly mentions "Great Expectations" (1946) and "No Room at The Inn" (1948). One of a wonderful collection of over 50 celebrity letters all obtained during the late 1940s to early 1950s by a Mr Douglas Squires. He was involved in editing a School / University Film & Theatre Entertainment magazine during this period and wrote to celebrities looking for a contribution of autographs and signed photographs for the magazine. Many of the letters are gracious and detailed replies with many references to helping his project and mentions of their careers at that point in time. FREDA JACKSON d1990. English film and TV actress. She had roles in notable films including ; A Canterbury Tale (1944) / Henry V (1944) / Great Expectations (1948) / The Good Die Young (1954) / The Brides of Dracula (1960) and Die Monster Die (1965). She died in Nothampton aged 82 on 20th October 1990.
