GENE VINCENT d1971. Influential rockabilly pioneer best known for his classic "Be Bop a Lula" and his wild must-see stage shows of the early 1960s. He was injured as a passenger in the car crash that killed his friend Eddie Cochran in 1960. His well documented self destructive lifestyle and a long history of poor health led to his death (aged just 36) on October 12th 1971.
