Gerard Philipe

GERARD PHILIPE d1959. French actor who appeared in 34 films between 1944 and 1959. Active in both theater and cinema. He was one of the main stars of the post-war period. His image was youthful and romantic and he remains one of the icons of French cinema. He died of liver cancer aged just 36 in Paris on November 25th 1959
