Gone With The Wind

GONE WITH THE WIND. 1939 American Film classic directed by Victor Fleming that symbolises the Golden Age of Hollywood. It starred Glark Gable d1960 (Rhett Butler) / Vivien Leigh d1967 (Scarlett Ohara) / Leslie Howard d1943 (Ashley) and Olivia De Havilland d2020 (Melanie Hamilton). Winner of Ten Academy Awards, it grossed over $400 million. At the time, it sold the most tickets ever for a film and was voted the 4th best film of all time by The American Film Institute. Remembered for two of the most famous closing lines in cinema history. Rhett ; "Frankly my dear I don't give a damn AND "Scarlett ; "Home l'll go home and I'll think of some way to get him back. After all tomorrow is another day ..."

A wonderful original vintage set of four clearly signed pages in ink by ; Clark Gable d1960 (Rhett Butler) / Vivien Leigh d1967 (Scarlett Ohara) / Leslie Howard d1943 (Ashley) and Olivia De Havilland d2020(Melanie Hamilton)

Double mounted for fine display with photographs

An extremely rare and desirable set of signatures from one of the most iconic Hollywood classic films of all time

1) CLARK GABLE d1960. Triple Academy Award nominated American actor known as "The King of Hollywood" and probably the top male actor of the 1930s. He died of a heart attack in 1960 aged just 59 after filming "The Misfits" with Marilyn Monroe. 

2) VIVIEN LEIGH d1967. Outstandingly beautiful double Academy Award winning English actress, both times playing Southern Belles in ; Gone With The Wind (1939) and A Streetcar Named Desire (1951). She battled with poor health and addiction throughout much of her life and died of tuberculosis aged just 53 in 1967. 

3) LESLIE HOWARD d1943. English actor and producer best known for his 1930s films ; Gone With The Wind (1939) / Berkeley Square (1933) / The Scarlett Pimpernell (1934) / Pygmalion (1938) and Intermenzo (1939). He worked during WW2 in Allied Intelligence which probably led to his untimely death in an airplane crash in 1943 aged just 50

4) OLIVIA DE HAVILLAND d2020. Double Academy Award winning British American actress known for her performances in : To Each His Own (1946) and The Heiress (1949). She died in Paris on July 26th 2020 at the incredible age of 104
