GRACE KELLY d1982. Outstandingly beautiful Academy Award winning American film and stage actress. Ranked by The AFI as the 13th greatest female star of all time and the darling of director Alfred Hitchcock. During her film career she was best known for her roles in 1950s classics including ; High Noon (1952) / Dial M For Murder (1954) / To Catch A Thief (1955) / High Society (1956) / Mogambo (for which she won a Golden Globe) and Country Girl (for which she won an Oscar). Grace Kelly became Grace de Monaco when she married Prince Rainier on April 19th 1956, dubbed by the press of the time "The Wedding of The Century". Despite repeated Hollywood film offers, she remained loyal to her husbands wishes and devoted her life to the arts and the people of Monaco as the Princess Grace. She sadly lost her life aged just 52 on September 14th 1982, following a freak car accident after suffering a stroke whilst driving in the mountains above her home.
