Gunnar Nilsson

GUNNAR NILSSON d1978. Swedish F1 driver with Lotus. Career ; 32 GPs / 4 podiums with one win at the 1977 Belgian GP. He signed for the 1978 season with Arrows, however his ill health prevented him from actually driving the car. He died sadly of testicular cancer aged just 29 on October 20th 1978. His mother Elizabeth then set up The Gunnar Nilsson Cancer Foundation
