WITH original mailing letter and envelope sent from the Prime Ministers Secretary Office on October 31st 1966


From the wonderful Michael Pinchbeck collection. This amazing collection consisted of over 2000+ music / entertainment / sport / politics & pioneers autographs on index cards / books / letters & photographs. All obtained in-person and through the post by him for 50+ years between the 1950s-1990s. The majority are dedicated to him and date stamped. As part of his archiving, there are numerous letters that help support the history and provenance of his lifetime dedication to the hobby of autograph collecting. INDIRA GANDHI d1984. Indian politician and a central figure of the Indian National Congress. She was the third prime minister of India and was also the first and to date the only female PM of India. She was the daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India. She served as PM from January 1966 to March 1977 and then again from January 1980, until her assassination in New Delhi aged 66 on October 31st 1984. This made her the second longest-serving Indian prime minister after her father
