INNER CIRCLE. Jamaican reggae band formed in Kingston in 1968. They first backed The Chosen Few in the early 1970s before joining with successful solo artist Jacob Miller and releasing a string of records. Jacob Miller was killed in a car accident aged just 27 in 1980. The group reformed in 1986. During this period, they released several international hit singles, including "Sweat (A La La La La Long)" and "Bad Boys", the latter of which later became the theme to the American television show COPS
