JACK MACGOWRAN d1973. Irish actor, probably best known for his work with Samuel Beckett. His last film role was as the alcoholic director Burke Dennings and Regan's first victim in The Exorcist (1973). He died in New York of influenza aged just 54 on January 30th 1973
