One of a collection of around fifteen original mid-1960s letters returned to the correspondent (S. Bennett) from prominent film directors / animators / photographers and camera-men of the period. Mr Bennett during & whilst researching for a book wrote to them asking five questions in regards to their careers. 1) Assistance to career 2) Film directors they most admire 3) Most outstanding film 4) What film they would most like to make 5) Advice for an amateur film-maker.  JAMES HILL d1994. British film and television director, screenwriter and producer whose career spanned 52 years between 1937-1989. He is best remembered for his documentaries and short subjects such as Guiseppina & The Home Made Car and for being the director of the internationally acclaimed 1966 Elsa the Lioness film Born Free.
