Beautiful Academy / Emmy / Bafta and Golden Globe winning English actress of the 1940-1960s, best known for her roles in film classics including ; Hamlet (1948) / The Robe (1953) / Guys and Dolls (1955) / Elmer Gantry (1960) / Spartacus (1960) and The Happy Ending (1963). She died from lung cancer aged 80 in 2010
