JOHN ENTWISTLE d2002. Bassist with the legendary English mod-rock band The Who first formed in 1964. They grew to be considered one of the greatest and most influential bands ever in popular music. They rose to fame with a pioneering and exciting live stage instrument destruction show and a series of classic Top 10 singles, including one of the decades defining rock anthems ; "My Generation". John Entwistle died of a heart attack in Las Vegas in 2002
