JOHNNY ROTTEN (LYDON). Controversial English singer-songwriter best known as the lead singer of the notorious influential British 1970s punk group The Sex Pistols who first split in 1978. He then founded and fronted the post-punk band Public Image Ltd between 1978 and 1993. The Sex Pistols have since reformed for various revival tours during the 1990s and 2000s.
