An original single sided 1966 handwritten letter to a fan, clearly in ballpoint and signed at the conclusion by Keith Richards.

"Dear Susan. Thanks a lot for your nice letter. It was really sweet of you to write, and I really do appreciate and understand your feelings. We don't mind the fans screaming in fact we'd all start worrying if they didn't scream anymore. But actually there are some fans I've noticed in the audience that don't scream, but I'm sure they still feel the same. Yes we should be doing another tour in the Autumn somewhere around September. So i'll look out for you. OK? Must rush darling, Love Keith Richards"

INCLUDES the original mailing envelope also hand-written by Keith Richards and postmarked London 27th April 1966.

Certification:

From a wonderful music autograph collection obtained by Susan B in and around the Leeds area during 1965-1967 (mostly at The Queens Hall Leeds). Many are dedicated to her with annotated places and dates. The collection included five 1966 handwritten letters to her by group members of the Rolling Stones. On the original mailing envelope (included), it is postmarked London 27th April 1966 with a second postmark then attached for Liverpool 28th April 1966 (we assume this is the date this letter arrived). The Rolling Stones were in the UK during most of April and May after finishing their European Tour on 5th April. They appeared on Top of The Pops on April 14th and their fourth UK album (Aftermath) was released. Between April 15-30th the group members had time off. It is likely therefore that this letter was written during this break in schedule. Paint it Black was released on May 7th. AFTAL Dealer No13 and UACC RD Memorabilia UK COA.
