KINKS. British invasion group of the 1960s formed in London by brothers Ray and Dave Davies. Widely regarded to be one of the most influential acts of the period, due to the innovative lyrics and song-writing genius of singer Ray Davies. Their major hits include ; You Really Got Me (No1 1964) / All Day and All Of The Night (No2) / Tired Of Waiting For You (No1) / Dedicated Follower of Fashion (No4) / Sunny Afternoon (No1) / Waterloo Sunset (No2 1967) and Lola (No2 1970).
