Lois Maxwell

LOIS MAXWELL d2007. Canadian actress, best known for her portrayal of Miss Moneypenny in the first 14 James Bond films between 1962-1985. She began her film career in the late 1940s and won the Golden Globe for The Most Promising Newcomer in "That Hagen Girl" (1947). In 2001, she was diagnosed with bowel cancer and moved to Australia where she lived with her son until her death aged 80 in 2007.

A lovely collectable typed and signed 1992 letter with great content on her own headed paper, clearly signed in ink by Lois Maxwell (and good luck in 1992). She mentions Miss Moneypenny / Sean Connery / George Lazenby and Roger Moore. "It's too bad I don't receive any residuals from all the Bond films. If I did, I'd be able to afford a secretary ..."
