MICK TAYLOR. English guitarist best known as a former member of John Mayalls Bluesbreakers and the Rolling Stones. As a schoolboy he played in two groups (the Juniors & the Gods). The Juniors released a single "There's A Pretty Girl" on Columbia in August 1964 with Mick Taylor on guitar aged just 15. Juniors members Alan Shacklock later became a top record producer / John Glasscock played bass with Jethro Tull and Brian Glasscock joined the Motels.  In 1967, he took over from Peter Green in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and in 1969 joined the Rolling Stones as replacement to Brian Jones  During his tenure with those bands, he gained a reputation as a reliable technical guitarist with a preference for blues and a talent for slide guitar. He resigned from the Rolling Stones in December 1974 and later worked with numerous other A-list artists, as well as releasing a number of solo albums.
