Mike Oldfield

MIKE OLDFIELD. English multi instrumentalist musician and composer. His work blends progressive rock with world, folk, classical, ambient and new age music. He is best known for his 1973 album Tubular Bells which launched Virgin Records, spent 279 weeks in the UK charts and has to date sold an estimated 17 million copies worldwide. It became a hit after its opening was used as the theme for the film "The Exorcist". Other notable work includes his 1983 hit single Moonlight Shadow and his Christmas piece "I'l Dulci Jubilo" ....
