MORRISSEY. Legendary lead singer and lyricist of the influential alternative rock group The Smiths active between 1982 and 1987. They released four studio LPs ; The Smiths 1984 No2 / Meat Is Murder 1985 No1 / The Queen is Dead 1986 No2 and Strangeways Here We Come 1987 No2 , along with their best known Top 10 singles This Charming Man / Heaven Knows Im Miserable Now and Sheila Take A Bow. Since their 1987 split Morrissey has enjoyed a sparodically highly succesful solo career but there have sadly remained constant acrimonius disputes between the band members in the courts over rights and royalties. Despite being offered huge sums of money to reform on various occasions over the years , Morrissey and Marr have repeatedly said in interviews that this will never happen..............
