Neil Aspinall

NEIL ASPINALL d2008. British music industry executive. A childhood friend of Paul McCartney and George Harrison, he went onto head The Beatles Company Apple Corps. During the 1960s, he was employed as the group's road manager & personal assistant and in the very early days he drove them to the gigs in his Commer Van. He famously used to sign thousands of autographs for all the busy group members during their personal appearances. Such is the collectability of The Beatles nowadays, even examples of his own group signatures have become of value and are often confused as genuine by many other than the best Beatles autograph authenticators. He died of lung cancer in 2008 aged 66 leaving over £7 million in trust in his will
