Nigel Green

NIGEL GREEN d1972. South African-born English character actor who because of his strapping build and commanding height (6ft-1in) became best known for playing military types and men of action. His classic films include ; Jason and The Argonauts (1963-Hercules) / Zulu (1964-Colour Sergeant Bourne) / The Ipcress File (1965-Major Dalby) and Tobruk (1967- LC John Harker). He died in Brighton following an overdose of sleeping pills aged just 47 on May 15th 1972.
