PAT PHOENIX d1986. English actress who became one of the first sex symbols of British television through her role as Elsie Tanner an original cast member of Coronation Street. A role which she portrayed from its first episode in 1960-1973 and again from 1976 until she quit in 1984. In Elsie Tanner, she is credited with creating one of the most famous characters in British soap history
