Paul Newman

PAUL NEWMAN d2008. Legendary American actor entrepreneur and auto racer. Winner of countless film awards including an Academy Award / two Golden Globes and an Emmy during an outstanding career remembered for his good looks and playing lovable rogues. His most notable roles include classics ; Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958) / Hustler (1961) / Hud (1963) / Cool Hand Luke (1967) / Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid (1969) and The Sting (1973). Also a highly successful race driver in National Sports Cars and as an Indy Car Team Owner. In later life he co-founded the "Newmans Own Food Company" which has so far donated over $220 million USD to charity. He sadly lost his battle with cancer aged 83 on September 26th 2008.
