This amazing collection consisted of over 2000+ music / entertainment / sport / politics & pioneers autographs on index cards / books / letters & photographs. All obtained in-person and through the post by him for 50+ years between the 1950s-1990s. The majority are dedicated to him and date stamped. As part of his archiving, there are numerous letters that help support the history and provenance of his lifetime dedication to the hobby of autograph collecting. Letter date is November 2nd 1971. Peter Gethin

PETER GETHIN d2011. British F1 driver with McLaren BRM and Hill (between 1970-74) who competed in 31 GPs. He remains famous for winning the 1971 Italian Grand Prix by the shortest ever margin in F1 history (by 0.01sec) from Ronnie Petersen whilst moving from 4th to 1st place in a courageous last-lap overtaking manoeuvre in his Yardley BRM P160. He died aged 71 on December 5th 2011
