PIERS COURAGE d1970. British F1 driver and heir to the Courage Brewing dynasty active between 1967-1970 with Lotus / BRM / Brabham and De Tomaso. 29 races with 2 podiums. As protege and friend of  mentor Frank Williams, his competitive performances in a privateer Brabham in the 1969 season were impressive against the factory teams, with second places at Monaco & the US GPs and also a notable drive at the Italian GP. Widely regarded as "the last of the gentlemen racers", he was sadly killed aged just 28 at Zandvoort during the Dutch GP on 21st June 1970
