REGINALD BECKWITH d1965. British film and television actor who made almost one hundred film and television appearances during a prolific career. He began as a film critic and playwright before the war and then became a BBC war correspondent between 1941-45. His most notable later film appearances include ; Scott of The Antarctic (1948) / Titfield Thunderbolt (1953) / Genevieve (1953) / Men of Sherwood Forest (1954) / Carry on Admiral (1957) / Navy Lark (1959) / The 39 Steps (1959) / Doctor in Love (1960) / The VIP's (1963) / A Shot in The Dark (1964) and as Kenniston in the 1965 James Bond film Thunderball. He died of a heart attack aged 56 around the time of Thunderball's release in June 1965.
