THE RONETTES. Legendary American girl-trio best known for their classic 1960s hits including ; "Be My Baby" and "Baby I Love You" produced by Phil Spector. The group members Veronica Bennett (aka Ronnie Spector) / Estelle Bennett and Nedra Talley were put together by Spector portraying a wild rebellious girl image using their trademark "Beehive" hair-doos. The Ronettes famously toured the UK firstly in 1964 (supporting The Rolling Stones) and later as support to The Beatles. They disbanded in 1966, but still remain a major influence to many female artists that have followed. Estelle Bennett died of colon cancer aged 67 in 2007. Ronnie Spector died of cancer aged 78 in 2022
