RONNIE SPECTOR. Member of the American girl-trio The Ronettes, best known for their classic 1960s hits including ; "Be My Baby" and "Baby I Love You" produced by Phil Spector. The group members Veronica Bennett (aka Ronnie Spector) / Estelle Bennett d2007 and Nedra Talley were put together by Spector portraying a wild rebellious girl image using their trademark "Beehive" hairdoos. The Ronettes famously toured the UK firstly in 1964 supporting The Rolling Stones and later as support to The Beatles. They disbanded in 1966, but still remain a major influence to many female artists that have followed .....Estelle Bennett sadly died of colon cancer aged 67 in 2007.
