SEAN CONNERY d2020. Academy award Golden Globe and BAFTA award winning Scottish actor forever remembered for his outstanding portrayal of James Bond in seven films ; "Dr No (1962) / From Russia With Love (1963) / Goldfinger (1964) / Thunderball (1965) / You Only Live Twice (1967) / Diamonds are Forever (1971) and Never Say Never Again (1983). He also reputedly turned down a five million pounds offer for Live and Let Die (1973) ; a role which later went to Roger Moore. He won an Academy Award for best supporting actor in "The Untouchables" (1987). He was knighted in 2000. He retired in 2006 despite numerous offers to return. He sadly passed away in the Bahamas in October 2020 at the age of 90
