Sham 69

SHAM 69. English punk-rock group formed in Hersham in 1976. They enjoyed some success with UK hit singles including ; Angels with Dirty Faces (No19 1978) /  If The Kids are United (No9 1978) / Hurry Up Harry (No10 1978) and Hersham Boys (No6 1979) after appearing on BBC TVs Top of The Pops. They firstly split in 1979 when vocalist Jimmy Pursey left to join the Sex Pistols.
