Sonja Henie

SONJA HENIE d1969. Norwegian figure skater and actress who won more titles than any other in the history of the sport. Her career record ; Three times Olympic Champion (1928 / 1932 / 1936) and ten times World Champion (between 1927-36). After launching her Hollywood film career in 1936, she became one of its highest paid stars earning over $2 million per year. She died of leukemia aged just 57 in 1969 on board a flight between Paris and Oslo.
