STANLEY MATTHEWS d2000. One of English footballs greatest ever players and the first footballer to be knighted. European footballer of the year in 1956. He played at the top level until the age of 50, making 701 appearances for Stoke City and Blackpool (scoring 71 career goals) as a right winger. He won 54 England Caps (scoring 11 goals).
